Our People

DevConcepts is comprised of people who share a genuine commitment to good development practice, are principle-centered, competent and have unquestionable integrity. The organization was founded by Jonas Tetangco an experienced program manager and consultant with over 25 years of experience in managing international development programs.

Jonas has managed numerous foreign-funded programs, including for the Australian aid (DFAT), World Bank, Japan Bank for International Cooperation and Asian Development Bank. He has also partnered and worked with numerous national government agencies, local government units, non-government organizations and private corporations. From 2006 to 2017, Jonas served as the Philippines Country Manager of the Australian Government Volunteer Programs, and various other international and local people-to-people programs.

In 2022, Jonas was awarded the University of the Philippines Los Banos College of Development Communication (UPLB CDC) Distinguished Alumni Award for his exemplary work in volunteer management and partnership development.

For consecutive years, the DevConcepts team consistently received high ratings in Scope Global’s (now Palladium) Results Based Management (RBM) Performance Tracking system. They were one of the highest rated In-Country Management Teams (ICMT), especially in two major Key Result Areas (KRA), namely: Volunteer Satisfaction with ICM Services (4.7 out of 5); and In-Country Orientation (4.8 out of 5). This is a testament to the team’s competence, and commitment to professionalism and excellence.

DevConcepts partners and works with Filipino and international development specialists across a range of technical areas.
